Having Melanie handle my financial planning is one of the top 10 smartest things I've done in my life - and not doing it sooner is one of my top 10 regrets/dumbest things I’ve done. So happy to have someone I trust, who has a proven track record, and understands how to maximize growth potential, minimizing tax implications, and plan for future generations.

I decided to work with Melanie because despite having a decent amount of money in my savings accounts, I always felt like there was a lot more I could be doing with it, instead of just letting it sit there. I had always wanted to get into investing, but I had no clue where to start nor the knowledge to be able to do it on my own. I needed someone that was not only experienced, but someone who I knew would also be looking out for my best interest. Melanie has done an amazing job at not only guiding me down the right path, but also taking the time to educate me on how the whole process works. Previously, I knew next to nothing about the stock market and investing in general, but now I find myself capable of educating others using the knowledge given to me by Melanie. Although I've always considered myself to be smart with my money, my retirement plan was essentially nonexistent, but after working with Melanie these past few years, I'm significantly more prepared, and no longer find myself stressing over it. I'd highly recommend Melanie to anyone that is looking to get into investing and setting themselves up financially for the long term, especially in these times!

I first sought out the services of a Financial Advisor in the early 2000s, when I had managed to save enough money to be able to do some serious investing, but had enough sense to know that I wouldn’tbe the best person for that job. I needed help and I looked to a solid, well-known investment firm forthat help.
I was assigned to a very nice Financial Advisor who recommended some pretty complicated investments. These investments ended up ranging from tepid returns to medium-sized losses (but I’m sure provided some excellent commissions!). After several years, she got married and moved to another state, so the firm assigned me one of her colleagues.
This guy certainly looked and sounded like a typical Wall Street type. He would take me to lunch every few months, tell me about some hot new investments that had just crossed his desk, and convince me to invest. This never paid off. During the time from the end of the Great Recession until around 2015-2016, when the stock market came roaring back and actually doubled, my advisor somehow managed to miss every bit of this historic comeback. Incredibly, he lost me money every single year!
My business partner had been working with Melanie Rodrigue for several years and spoke very highly of her. In fact, she had set up our company’s 401k plan a few years earlier. He suggested I take what (little) money I had left and ask Melanie for help. Our company at that time was really taking off, so I knew that I would soon be coming into some big dividends, and I thought I would take the novel approach this time of actually trying to make some money rather than slowly bleed it all away.
My early meetings with Melanie were eye-opening, to say the least. She spent a lot time asking me questions about my goals and plans to find out what I really wanted in a Financial Advisor and what kind of investments I would be most comfortable owning. She told me that when investing with her, I could expect to make money 7 out of 10 years, but lose some in the other 3 years. Her strategy is to invest wisely, looking at long-term returns and dependable results. I like investing in aggressive growth, so I can accept occasional losses when it leads to much bigger gains over time.
In the 10 years since investing with her, I think my actual ratio is either 8-2 or 7-3, so she obviously really knows what she’s doing! I retired last year, once we sold our company, and Melanie had some excellent advice as to how to handle my capital gains in a way that minimized my taxes while protecting my principal. It’s gone very smoothly and she has my returns forecasted out way into thefuture.
Melanie has earned my complete confidence over these years and I really enjoy working with her. She’s a true professional, and a very nice person as well.
